Implementation of a system to generate monthly hourly work cards for drivers and mechanics.

May 26 2021

SI-LOK in MPK Kraków. It has over 2,200 employees, 5 depots and about 1,000 vehicles (streetcars and buses) running on about 200 lines.

Challenge:

Our task was to set up a system to generate monthly hourly driver and mechanic timesheets and upload them to the ERP system for payroll preparation. The objective of the system was to provide real data

Solution:

We created a system based on a central database and connected it to scattered depots via radio. Specialized RFID tags on buses and streetcars identify vehicles.

Benefits:

The SI-LOK system records working time in real time. Mechanics use a special computerized service station to record the beginning and end of tasks assigned to them by their supervisor. The drivers’ working time is automatically recorded using RFID sensors mounted to the vehicle.
